Everbright E610 Ice White was installed recently at the Sandcastle Apartments in Scarborough WA on the Entrance Canopy. Everbright E610 was extruded and supplied in 4.9mtr curved panel lengths and in 600mm configurations. Our panels simply clip together, making the installation process rapid, as our product only requires to be joined every 600mm on site. E610 free spanned 4.6mtr, incorporating Locking System 1. Locking system 1 simply means there are 6 polycarbonate locking bars required out of every 6 chambers. See design loads, which shows you in more detail the different locking systems available.

The installation process is very simple with our 74mm polycarbonate system, and construction time is dramatically reduced. Installation time on this project was 7 hours, and two tradesmen were available on site. The total area was 25sqm the curved panel length was 4.9mtr x 5mtr wide.

The design brief for this development was for a modern looking translucent system, which would utilize all the natural light available, providing a pleasant entrance to the property for all residents and visitors. The clients specifications was for a superior looking product, that would enhance this area with a clean fresh look, providing the building with an impressive entrance feature.

Additionally with the ocean front location of this project, the client was looking for a product that was self cleaning, extremely strong, durable and had a long life span.

Another major stipulation was for the selected material to have superior thermal and acoustic performance characteristics.

Our product was selected and now creates the correct ambience, providing a comfortable environment for all residents and visitors.

Everbright E610's increased free span capabilities, made our polycarbonate system an excellent choice for this development giving the desired effect, as it is one of the strongest translucent materials available in the world today.

Our polycarbonate system give a seamless and continuous line, with no steel frame work spoiling the visual effect. E610 Integral locking bars hide the aspect of where a panel starts and where it finishes, so it becomes a continuous system giving a uniformed and conformed design feature. Creating an architectural flare, that isn't possible with any other polycarbonate system available on the market. Our system only needs to be secured with washer and screw fixings provided to both the lower and higher end of the panels, all the joints are self sealing once the integral locking bar is fitted. Other systems would necessitate the need for a framed grid work support system across the entire roof.

E610 polycarbonate panels incorporate an excellent safety factor. All loading criteria are based on 0.75kN/sqm and a 50% safety factor as part of a standard specification detailing.
